Default Headlight Stress Cracks

I just posted about this in the "repairing" section, but it was a reply to a 2 year old thread that hadn't had any activity in a long time...and I need some answers quick!

So, I have these really bad headlight stress cracks, but just on the passenger side headlight. I'm going to the dealership over lunch today to have them look at them (and try to get them to give me at least one new headlight).

So my question is this: Is there a TSB or anything I can bring with me for ammo?? I know other people have had this problem. My 3yr/36k warranty is going to expire in a little over a month, so I want this done NOW.

There's no TSB, but I had both of mine replaced at Backer Jason Nissan, Houston, TX. Maybe you can use them as reference. This was done around 32k miles.

Thanks...it's not much, but it will help. "Hey, Backer Jason Nissan in Texas did it! You idiots!". That's going to be me later today.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, I went into the Nissan dealership ready for a fight! I think I was already mad when I walked in...having not so good luck with Nissan in the past.

Well, they looked at my stress cracked passenger side headlight and said.. "Hmm...that doesn't look right.." then he saw a couple small tiny stress cracks on the drivers side and said "better order two".

I was like "Now look here...what?" Was I in the Toyota dealership? What just happened?

Yeah, I'm amazed. No questions asked, they're replacing both my headlights under warranty. This is the service I always hoped for when owning an expensive car, and I finally got it! Huge Props to Nissan of the Eastside at Bellevue.

I'll be posting on all the local forums about how cool they are. Hope it gets them some business unlike other area dealerships. *cough* Downtown *cough* Renton *cough*
