Where did Nissan spend the money on the Z?

As I was reading through it I kept thinking "wow, my Z really kinda sucked".
Then I get to the punchline where they have the lap time summary table and started laughing. I first spotted the time's and was taken aback at the big difference in numbers UNTIL I saw that this was on a 1.6 mile long track.
The difference in time on their course was only 4.5 seconds between the #1 car and the last place Z.
Move to the middle of the pack (the Lotus) and the difference is only 2.2 seconds.
Granted, it was interesting to see the results but lets get real. This is subtle stuff where something as simple as a different tire pressure would change the numbers quite a bit.
I guarantee if I were driving that course, the Z would have turned in at least a 15 second difference

Ha, there are tons of cars youd think where all the engineering money went.... for exmaple do you honestly think a for what you get, a Mc Laren F1 is worth a million bucks? and that s**t dont even have a radio!!...Let not get into this worthless conversation, i personally think the Z is a great deal of performance for the dollar, alot of engineering went into it for the small price we pay....a TL is a cookie cutter upscale Accord.... Nothing special, nothing extravagant, but the Z's small details you may not even think about much is there, such as full aluminum suspension, CF driveshaft (its made not only to be light, but its also is designed to buckle and abosorb impact when you go into a hard frontal impact) micropolished cams and crank, moly coated pistons, ingenuis use of weight distribution, air diffusers, LSD, VDC, TCS, composite rad supports not only to be light but also aborb impact the list goes on, you dont think about these thing much but its there, and the Z has them....but enough of my babble...
