Default do you get many chips on your hood/fender?

I want to put expel / clear bra type of film on my Z but its so expensive! So I am thinking of only doing the bumper and lights and not the hood and fenders to save some $$$. Do many of you see alot of damage happening to the hood and fenders? or is most of the chips on the bumper?

Bumper is 1st with hood 2nd in terms of the number of chips. Don't really notice anything on the fenders.

I would do the fenders and side mirrors if I could.

The front fenders gets chip on it because if you are going beside a truck to pass it, rocks will fly to your fender, etc. I have a few chips on my front fenders.

I got the clear bra everywhere in the front and headlights. These cars chip, so its better to protect it.

Do the hood for sure. That's the only place I have chips, but I got backed into and my bumper has been repainted recently, .

Thanks for all the replies. I am getting quoted $600 - $700 for everything (hood, fenders, bumpers, lights, mirrors). Is this in line with what all you others have paid?

I'd check other places, around where I live you can get it all for about $400. The price has gone down considerably since I bought my car a year or so ago.

I use the black bra from the dealership. Works like a charm. You'll have to worry about rain though. I always keep the Z garaged, so not any problems with water spots under the bra. Hit a big piece of plastic one time. put a nasty scuff in the bra, but saved the bumper.

Does anyone know of a clear bra place in Orlando? And how much have people paid for just a bumper? Can you see a difference between the panel with the bra, and that without? Thanks!

I really havent had any for the "whole" 2 months I've owned my Z. I did read about how easy it was to chip the paint on these cars so ever since I've had it, I've always made sure I stayed a good distance aways from the car in front of me, espeically on freeways. I never tailgate, even in traffic. If the road seems to have alot of debris, I'm even more carefull. I never drive behind trucks or SUV's.
