Tapping Noise From Clutch
I took my Z to the dealer because I heard a tapping noise when I hit the clutch a little hard when shifting from first to second. They took all day and finally said that the noise is found on all the enthusiast models as a result of the performance clutch. Is there any validity to this??? Also, those retards cracked my front bumper during servicing
so now they're going to replace it for me. But I need some info on the tapping noise asap.
is it a tapping noise like "tick tick tick" or a rattling noise like a couple of peanuts in a can being shaken' around? If its the second noise, thats normal, if its the first, i dunno. The 350Z uses a really strong "OEM" clutch and it and the tranny make alot of noise while shifting, idleing, etc... My cuzn has a 1998 Supra Turbo 6spd and it makes similar nosies as my Z...performance cars are meant to dominate in "performance" not luxury...remmember that! Btw, all Z's use the same exact clutch, tranny, and driveshaft and rear diff...
