Default For once, a positive thread about Nissan Service Techs!!!

Hey all,

I live in Houston and took my '05 Z into Tom Peacock Nissan/Caddy on I-45 North. I had the window streaks and rear axle ticking noise. I walked in and told the lady the problems. I offered the TSB #'s but she told me the techs already know about it and thats what my problem was. WOW. ok anways, they fixed the windows but had to order the parts for the axle...so i have to wait til next week to get it fixed.

On another note, upon pick-up my car was washed and wheels completely cleaned as well as tire shine. they also cleaned the inside SPOTLESS!

fast service, and very friendly. she even ASKED me if i had tire feather problems!! it seems they know their stuff!

ask for Tina in the service dept!!

Yep tom peacock on I-45 North serviced my car great. cleared up every thing i had on my list *six things*. treated me with respect and I don't know if i'm going crazy but i had road rash on my nismo rims on 3 of my 4 wheels *yes I know wtf was I thinking* .. anyhow when i picked up my car because everything was fixed.... about 3 days later i'm checking my tire pressure at home and realize *with great disbelief* that my tire rash is gone on all my rims... !! wtf??? ITs awesome. Anyways. Wierd but true story.

Not to hijack the thread but what is the ticking axle like? I also have an 05 and I hear a slight clanking sound when I engage 1st and shift at low rpms(2k). Kinda sounds like when you're about to stall. I'm sure it's normal but any thoughts???

do a search on here....but you can try this....

Radio off.....windows down...quiet parking lot of street. from a stop, engage first and slowly start accelerating. as soon as you start moving you should hear a noticable "tick tick" come from behind you on your rear axle. its not the clutch noise that happens when its not warmed up.....but a different sound coming from the axle. its a "tick tick"

Wow, they washed it!

My service (at the 2nd dealership at any rate) was very good, but after 5 days sitting out in the lot, the Z was the dirtiest its ever ever ever been...

But they sure changed the axles and transmissions without blinking. Though i did have to fight a bit for the rental
