G35 is driven by everybody and their granma lately...i see them so often, they are not as exclusive on the road as a Z...and mostly driven by ppl who dont know anything about cars, and just bought it coz its an INFINITI...heh..
anyways...stock g35c, with no spoiler looks waaaay worse then a stock Z on 18"s, imo..
everybody looks at me like "WOW" everytime i drive around in my freshly waxed Z...im sure G doesnt get as many looks as a Z... Z got long history; Z is definately a little bit faster, more fun to drive, and got more room in front. I test drove a G once, and i felt claustrophobic in one. Interior is better? ehh...I wouldnt say so.

I test drove a G coupe once too, and I had the same complaints. The cabin felt cramped and the interior, while technically better than the Z, felt like it was "cheap" luxury. With the Z, the interior is cheap and simple, but you're paying less for it and you know where your money went. With the G, the quality of the interior just doesn't seem to justify the price.

The Z isn't always cheaper, depends on the trim. As for the g35, I also test drove it and the g35 seems too crowded, tries to squeeze all the luxury functions into the car, and the center console looked really busy, giving it the cramped feeling. The Z's interior isn't one of the best, but I wouldn't ask for more. It's simple and clean, and it feels like your actually in a sports car. A lot of people from the younger crowd see the g35 as more of the "baller" car. But I also see a lot of old people driving the g35 as well. Mid life crisis? who knows? The Z is better respected in the eyes of a tuner, but to the general populace, the g35 wins. In the end, the Z is the better performer. You don't see any g35's in the jgtc , but then again the g35 is the "skyline" so, . But if your all for the luxury, by all means go with the g35.

g35= not fun as fun... come on... 4 seats? luxury? .... don't need it...

if i were to get a g35, i'd get the sedan. i love how the sedan looks, not the coupe.
i own a red 350z and i think it looks hell of alot better than a g35coupe. just opinions though.

as for speed. the z is faster. not because of the engine having more hp, thats minimal. its because it weighs less. the Z also has tighter suspensions too..

get the Z. it looks freaken exotic compared to a g35.

When someone says something like that to me i say dont get me wrong the G35's a great car but i dont need the backseat and 200 extra pounds isnt what i bought the car for. Plus I like the styling of the Z better. That usually shuts em up.

G can take 3 chicks at once (especially those young college chicks). it's all depend on each other taste...you can't just bs one car over another cuz they are both great cars.............Just remember G owner can buy a TRACK z if they want to .....

Well of course they could, but obviously they didn't.

I'm in the same situation..people ask me, and I tell them the G35 wasn't for me; I'm a fan of the Z, not a quasi-skyline with Z underpinnings.

The G can take 3 chicks at once, but can you take all 3 home with you that night? Or are you going from house to house playing "taxi". Ones enough for me, if you can take all 3 home, more power to you.

There's your first problem. Who the !@#$ listens to their friend's gf? She's obviously misinformed on these two vehicles, and probably vehicles in general.

As far as what other people say, why do you care? If you like the Z, buy the Z...

The body lines on the Z are so much sexier than the G35. I hate the way the rear of a G looks. I don't understand why anybody would pay more $ for the G35, instead of getting a Z!

No offense to you G35c people out there your car rocks... but i think it takes a little something to get a 2 seater... 2 seaters are a rare breed now a days especially in the price range of the Z, even the rx8 isn't a 2 seater. If I went with the g35c I would have felt like I wanted a sports car but I wasn't ready to make the jump to a full blown 2 seater... Its like I wanted a 2 seater sports car but my wife convinced me it was too impractical so I got the next best thing. "whooop-a" (NOTE: thats what it would have been like for me... to each his own and if you have a g35c I am sure you wanted it more than the Z... I am just saying this for people who want the Z but are feeling pressured into getting the g35c b/c its more practical etc.)

Also I did the 4 seater thing in the past and I always had to drive everyone else around and that totally sucked.

In my opinion if you compare the z and G35 side by side, the Z looks Bad azz Period.

Both are great cars. Just depends on what you are looking for. Each has advantages over the other. I don't think you can say one is definitely better than the other. I was set on getting a Z but I couldn't find one how I wanted it and everytime I went to one of the unprofessional Nissan dealerships around here they acted like they weren't in the business of selling cars. I ended up with a 6MT G35 Coupe. I love the car and don't regret getting it a bit. I think I would be just as happy with a Z though.

I would suspect that more Z owners get asked about the G35c than the other way around. Obviously people here mostly prefer the Z looks to the G35c. And most people at G35Driver.com prefer the G35c looks to the Z. No surprise there.
