300ZX engine vs. 350Z
Yeah I saw that episode too, now you post is making more sense to me, thought you might be bashing the ZX in general, because, in the day it performed, but now a cheaper car with less hp is matching and beating its performance.....I dont know why, but that Jeremy clarkson does NOT LIKE THE 350Z. Did you see his review of the blue one he drove? He didnt like the noise? Or the plastic? The ****ing McLaren SLR from Mercedes benz has plastic on the interior, he was just finding anyhting to ***** about.....
IMO....The front end of the 300ZX looks better, especially the headlight design, front air dam, and less bulgy and lower hoodline.
However, the rear of the 350Z looks MUCH cleaner and MUCH more stylish than the old 300ZX with rectangular, 1986 Toyota MR2 looking Rear End... LOL

The ZX has a wide-low Ferrari-like stance, while the 350z has a narrow-upright Porsche-like stance.
The VG30DE has a compression ratio of 10.5:1, the VG30DETT - 8.5:1, the VQ35DE - 10.3:1.
The VG was high-tech for the 80's, the VQ is high-tech for the 90's. Nissan killed the VG because it was "career-limited" in regard to performance and emissions.
