Usually when I first drive my Z it feels like it doesnt want to go into 2nd smoothly, I feel that it might pop out if I dont pull it in with more effort then shifting into the other gears. It doesn't grind at all, just makes a more audible click than the others, it goes away after 10 mins or so of stop and go driving. Is this normal or should I have nissan take a look at it because I know that there have been many tranny issues with the Z cars.

 

Normal. Do a search for rough+shift and see what you come up with...there have been a lot of posts on this lately.

Bastard! LOL! I'M AT WORK

 

I got kicked out of second gear the other night and it was right in front of a bunch of people. It was pretty embarassing, . It went in for a second and then kicked back out. I may have just kicked the clutch up as it was going into gear though, so it may have been my fault. This never happens but sometimes my tranny does weird stuff.

 

Yeah, I think its just normal, I have done a few searches and it seems like its normal and goes away with time. Thanks
