Dear Nissan Consumer Affairs
Dear Nissan Consumer Affairs,
I just received my letter explaining to me that I might have front tire noise problems on my 350z. This I know. I took my car back to the dealer (Jeff Smith Nissan, 999 Russell Pkwy, Warner Robins Georgia) after only 7K miles where I was informed that I should rotate my tires each time I change my oil. I informed the clerk that you could not rotate the tires as he suggested front to rear as there were different sizes. I also explained that per the Nissan Manual the tires on this car could not be rotated. He then said that I should remove the fronts from the rims and rotate them from side to side each time I change my oil. I guess this means that I have to have a front end alignment every time also. After much heated discussion about the cause of the uneven wear on the inside of the front tires the Service Manager intervened and took me outside to explain that he knew there was a problem but he could do nothing about it as Nissan was only looking after the 2003 cars.
I would like to deny you the opportunity to repay me for a problem that you knew existed and refused to fix and I will repay you by never purchasing another Nissan for the rest of my life. I have owned several and will say nothing but negative things about your company to anyone who will listen. I am a member of My350Z.Com and there have been many complaints about this same topic and how dealerships treated people who purchased a 35K car from you. I have also given my information to http://nissantireproblems.com/ in an effort to help some other unfortunate person who has purchased this car.
I will set my car on fire and watch it burn before returning to one of your dealerships for any kind of service..
Sincerely,
Christopher Adler
The above is my response to Nissan on the letter I just received....

Well, you should be able to take the new letter in and get new front tires for free. I think most of the dealers will do anything to squirm out of it, and yeah, that does reflect on Nissan. I've always been able to get them to service my car, but it's never fun, and I always end up wanting to strangle the service manager. So they spend the money, and they still get an angry customer! Smart, huh?

Yes, I would do that but I got new tires about 30K miles ago and carried my car to an old timer and let him align the front. I have had no more problems and the Pilot Sports have been great.
