Lets see pics of your/any Anniversary Z's
The anniversary wheels are 8.0" front and rear, right? Are the offsets the same for front and rear?
I was wondering on a base model that doesn't have that traction control crap or whatever, what would it look like to run 245/40/18's all the way around? I know it will throw the speedo/odo off a little, as well as loose a 1/2" of ground clearance and increase wheel gap by 1/2".
I am starting to like the Anniversary wheels more and more and liking spending $2,500 on aftermarket wheels less and less but I don't like the 45 series factory tires because the sidewalls look a bit too tall for my taste but I'm afraid that the 40's would make the wheel wells look a tad to large for the wheels and tires and make the wheels look to small, but it might look ok lowered with the Eibachs springs?
If using the factory 45 series tires I would lower with Hotchkis instead. By using 245/40's all the way around, I could rotate the fronts and rears (offsets permitting) to get maximum life out of the tires and have the side walls look the way I would like to see them.
Then again on the other hand 3 months down the road I would probably spend the $2,500 and get 19" Hiro's anyway:-( Damn aftermarket people:-P

not sure on the offset, but i heard from someone who had the best motoring dvd, that the offset is different on the Ann wheels, and that it helps the handling
the rims are definitely not the same width front and back, i can say this for sure because i wash inside the dish and the rears are alot deeper. Also they are a different offset, the rear wheel spokes look more curved inwards than the fronts

I had hoped a supposed low production vehicle labelled as an Anniversary model would have more than badges and floormats I guess.
Those dimpled Rays rims will also be available on the new GT coupe version, too.
But then you figure that if you like the looks of the 5 spoker Anniversary rims (and, yes, they are beautiful), then that's enough, right? A lot of guys will be changing out their stock rims for aftermarkets anyway.

Brembos.
(and also they'll have the new LEDs/bi-xenons, while we'll have the o.g. tails and headlights)
So if you see a 5-spoker with the original lighting schemes come rolling down the highway sporting fat Brembos, then it's a 35AE for sures.
