Too Good to be True??
Just wanted to bounce something off ya'll....been visiting this site for a while now and am FINALLY, within the next week or so, getting my z and want to know what you think of this deal - 03 (enthus./perf.?) Z, around 29k miles, manual, and the sticker said 23,998. Long story short, within 10-15 min. of being inside (this being myself, 21 yrs old, and mom) they knock off 4 grand! Is this just a great deal or does this sound a little fishy?? I think had we stayed longer they would've gone even lower. I don't know what could warrant such a deal other than something being terribly wrong w/ the car. haha It felt like they were maybe just trying to get rid of the dang thing, but who knows. Just curious what ya'll would do in a similar situation, granted a clean carfax of course. THANKS!
Things can slip by the Carfax, i think it is too good to be true. Did you take a look at the car yourself? Did you look in the engine bay around the car under etc... You might find something wrong. Those car dealers are tricky bastards!!
Yeah, I looked it over pretty well and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. What is the worse case scenario (within reason) that could be going on with the car, and would it still be worth it to fix for the good price offered, or not really? Again, THANKS
Well...i remember when i was looking for my second car I was looking into a 00' Toyota Celica GT-S it was spec blue and it had a perfect carfax but me and my pops were looking around the car and found their was wires everywhere under the body and the trunk was repainted and someone was using a straightner and try to bend it back flush. So the faults on that car was apparent. It might be the tranny... how many miles does it have? Depends on what breaks in the car to see if it really is worth it. And if you can afford it
