What are the changes in the interior dash? I can't really tell. I think the dial **** at the bottom are silver instead of black....and the radio colors are reversed...orange display on black background.

Yeah.. I definatly like those interior door panels. Im not a huge fan of the more "vertical" center console. I like the shape of our current one, but I do like the sliding compartment in the center.

Im glad they stayed conservative w/ the front bumper. The headlights and tailights dont look horrible either. I have to say that I DO NOT care for any of the wheel choices though. I would much rather have a nice set of aftermarket volks. At least the normal car person won't pick up on most of the changes. Our Z's should stay relatively fresh looking.

Certainly not enough changes to have me kicking myself 18 months after purchasing my 04. I've gotten to actually drive the car instead of anticipate changes.

FORGOT TO MENTION: Great job Nissan! Just like the 2k2/2k3 Maxima, you've now created a vehicle with an ultra high rate of theft. Because of your new front headlight design and tailight design, expect theft rates to skyrocket and insurance rates to follow. The blackmarket for OEM parts has its new beauty queen. This was the case with the maxima and WILL be the case for the 06 Z. I will stick with my 04 headlights that are orange but won't be a target.

Definitely not excited for new changes....They are ok, but I am happier with the previous interiors. I dont like how only part of the shift area is colored silver, and it looks kind of chubby. The leather in the doors is pretty good, the cupholders, talk about leaning forward to grab you drink, not needed IMO. I am not a fan of the headlights, and in the second pic, it looks like the headlight moves with the wheels?? If so that is cool....Tailights are cool, strange layout on the LED, almost like a half rainbow, I REALLY DONT like the new track wheels, and also would be very pissed if I was a 35th owner, some slimer spoked wheels would have been a better choice, alot better. I dont like the new silver, to me, Chrome silver is the best! The only thing I want, but need to look at before, is the chrome around the gauges, thats cool, but other then that, its not a car for me....Cant wait for 09! lol

The 06 is probably going to be the last Z33 we see. No point in considering one with something different/new around the corner.

Hopefully a new drivetrain, but something is going to change. If you were to own a Z33, the rev up motor would probably be the better choice, but with a possibly new Z around the corner it's relly not worth it over the older Zs

picture 8 shows that the headlights do not move with the steering wheel

i thought that silver in the pics is silverstone - it's not?

Default head unit different

I have an '05 z, touring model with the Bose head unit, sub., etc. I was speaking with a friend that the head unit would look much better if they canned the "tape" player and just moved the buttons up. Guess what...

Does anyone still use cassette tapes? Rhetorical question here.

I LOVE the new LED taillights. Coming from a G35coupe, that was the biggest thing the 350Z was missing. The new track wheels are ugly IMHO, but I like the fact that are much more aggressive sizes. The interior leather changes are cool, but the center console changes look ackward. I still can't get over the bugeye look of the headlights too. Finally, on the cassette comment. I still like the idea of the cassette... because those are the best way to connect your iPod into your car at this point. Since a direct link for the iPod is not offered at this time, I think the cassette is the clearest. The FM modulators SUCK.

How does this improve handling?

Also any more info on the speed sensitive steering? How would the steering feel change?

245's versus 225's front and 265's versus 245's rear. More meat on the road equals better handling.

Are there any photos of a manual interior, wondering if it will have the bulky base as well, not a fan of that at all!

I'm not to big of a fan of that bulky base either..and I think that other than the wheel and engine changes, the others done are negligible. No need to trade in, esp. if they believe there will be a new gen in 09.

Kind of reminds me of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, or the Ford Limited.....

Wouldn't this increase understeer?

But more meat usually means more handling, right?

Borrow a friends Acura Legend: steers with one finger in a parking lot. Difficult to change lanes at 70 mph
