I only live 10 minutes from Tirerack and last summer I saw a local news segment on a "Run what ya Brung" type of track day. Is there going to be another one next year, and if so is there a date set yet?
I've never had a car that I thought would be worth taking to this but I know the Z would be fun.
I thought it worth while to post this instead of contacting TireRack directly, incase someone else reading this would like the info also.

There are events here just about every weekend in the summer. A good majority of them are Lrun what you brung" type of events. The news story you saw was an SCCA event but, the local BMW club, Porsche club, Audi club as well as many others hold events and if you pay the entry fee you can run. I run my 300ZX TT with those clubs and many others. I would suggest that you contact the local SCCA chapter for a schedule of their events in the spring because they also run other places.
