Any idea when the '06s are coming out?

Heard it was October, too. I wouldn't be surprised if they came in a bit earlier. I'll post a spy out on the docks here in PDX, OR hehehe

Thanks...do you think it's more worth it to save some $$ and get the '05 now, or wait and get the '06?

Also, is insurance bad/expensive for the Z?

1% price increase. So roughly $300 to $500 (USD).

I say just save the money and get a left over 05 in October. Go to a large dealership where they have lots of cars in their inventory. Best to go a few hours before closing time on the very last day of the month. Bet you can get a smoking deal then. Especially if that dealer just got their first big shipments of 06 Z on the lot. BEN

 

I don't think the 06 z will be that much more than an 05. Most consumers won't even notice the changes and even some sales people won't either. The first month or two the dealer may want more money but i think that there will be many dealers selling the car near invoice within a month or two after it comes in.

 

I was thinking of trading my 5at Z for a 6mt Z.. So i will probably wait till the 06's hit the market, then most likely sell my Z or see how much theyll give me in for trade, and get a 6mt 05 Z. IMO the 06's arnt worth it, only thing i really envy is those damn volume controls on the steering wheel... damn i want those.. lol

 

I would hold out just a bit. If Nissan has made changes and improvements that will cure/address many of the small annoyances and mechanical "mis-designs" like the tire issues and tranny issues, then it would be worth it to purchase a 2006.

I would recommend you just to wait it out. The 06's will be hyped up for 1 or 2 months at most, and then pricing should fall back down to 2005 levels ( in terms of how much $ over or under invoice pricing).
