Default Hood heat?

Hey, I was just wondering how long it takes the hood to cool down after a day's use? I drove the car on Tuesday, and come wednesday evening, the hood was still hot. Keep in mind, i never drove it during wednesday. Is this common?

Was the car in a garage or covered parking? If not then maybe the day's heat is still absorbed in the aluminum. How late in the evening was this on wednesday?

Aluminum gives off heat pretty quickly (thus the reason that Aluminum is such a bad choice for shift ***** on hot/sunny days). But that means that it should cool down quickly. Was your car in a garage on Wednesday, or out in the sun? If outside, you're feeling heat from the sun, not your car. If it was indoors, that's pretty unusual.
