Thumbs up ZPeople, Help is needed!

I live in Louisiana. I was spared the destruction of my home and Z. I live about 200 miles north west of New Orleans in the center of the state. I was a radio and TV newsperson for over 25 years. I have talked with people in the media who have been near or in New Orleans. Believe me
it is worse than you can see in the coverage on TV. Please for the sake of a lot of people who really are in need, put off buying that spoiler or body kit or rims for your baby and give a little to the Red Cross or Salvation Army so that they can help these people. I am not a drum beater or do gooder, but this thing is like a atom bomb hitting south Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama..... Donate a little to a charity that can help them. Who knows, someday you may be in the same situation.

Amen to that too!!! Me and my wife will be looking at our closet for clothes we can give to those who moved to Jonesboro, AR with nothing at all. It really is pitiful...and what makes me burn with anger right now is the news about evil men shooting at a rescue helicopter in Houston, TX!

Care to expand on that one? Or is there a news link to read about it?

Jeez, it's chaos down there. +1 on the original sentiment of this message.

We here at Pelco (in Clovis, CA) had over 230 blood donors yesterday. Because we had so many donors (me being one of them), Central California Blood Center is able to send some your way.

This just in:
Our Manufacturing and Pelco Blue Pride Cafe Staff is going to visit each department within the next few hours to collect a donation, to be delivered to the KSEE 24/Red-Cross Telethon tonight. Donations of Cash, Checks, and Pelco Points will be accepted — and matched by Pelco. This is an excellent way to help NOW, and to double the impact of your donation! We ask every employee to donate generously. Please write your checks to American Red Cross.

Pelco again

Thanks Guys and Gals!
Even though we are seeing bad things down there, not all the folks in the south are as crass as a very few who are causing problems in the recovery.
God Bless!
