Some of those miles per tank numbers are crazy, are you telling me that on the highway your getting 550miles or 880kms, that seem totally unreasonable. I hope its true though I get my 2003 Z tomorrow!

That is the math. Consider the detrimental impact of your daily commute from home to freeway and freeway to work (11-16MPG).

This is funny because I just got back from a 980 mile round trip from D.C. to Cincy and thought about doing the same thing. At 71 mph I was averaging approximately 28.1 gal/ mile with the A/C on. However, with the variation in speed throughout the trip I estimate that I would have gotten about 506 miles on a tank of gas if I ran 'er dry.

Sure !

When I go from Columbus to Montréal I set the cruise control to 79 and I go over 500 miles before refuelling.

Very good point and I too believe that our gauge is not accurate. by the way, how far away are you from Salinas, outta meet up sometime.
