Default OEM Spoiler Question

I may have the chance to get my Brick before Febuary by getting the car from another dealer. Issue is the car comes with the OEM areo package. I like the looks better w/o the spoiler.

Can it be removed without leaving holes in the rear deck?

Also, how much of a problem is the front "chin" piece with regard to scaping going up/down driveways?

Finally, is there any functional value in the areo pack or just a looks thing?

While I'm at it, does "ECU" mean Emissions Control Unit?

Can't remove it. There are big holes.

It reduces drag coefficient down to 0.29

I think my Z has the front chin thingy on it and I have no problem with it.

Don't know other ecu answer.

ECU = Engine Control Unit.

As for the holes, yes there are 4 that would be showing.

Yes, there is a small performance benefit as mentioned in the previous reply. Also the track model has "Zero Lift". I don't know if that is entirely from the aero pkg or not.

Yes the front spoiler hangs down but I wouldn't worry about it. Really it's just a cheap piece of rough plastic (not painted or anything) that hangs down and effectively makes the car a little lower. If you scrape it, you won't be able to see it unless you are laying on the ground and it's not gonna hurt anything. If you do goof it up after a few years (or weeks) you can buy another from courtesyparts for $55.

While I dont really like the looks of it that much, ill will give the OEM spoiler its credit fnctionality wise. I just read an article about the Enzo, an it has a small rear deck spoiler that pops up at speed. It adds some 400lbs of downforce...
