Default 350z vs Mustang pic shoot out

Not sure if this is a repost but I thought it was pretty cool. It's a pic-for-pic shootout of the 350z and the Mustang (actually any Ford car). I may be stating the obvious but the Z wins in all but the full frontal. Damn the stang looks good like that.

If you buy a mustang GT
you just dug your self a very deep hole because of this gas crisis
4.6L v8? 200 dollars in petroleum per month?
monthly payment must be around 500 dollars including gas...
I'd buy an used M3 if i had that kind of money to blow every month lol

Default MPG wtf?

BS. Like buying a Z isn't digging yourself into a hole? You're not saving THAT much on gas. 20/26 on the Z 17/25 on the stang. Driven softly both of these cars could attain a decent MPG.

By that logic...

if you buy Z you drive a Z... with...
<cough>...tire feathering...<cough>...window grease...<cough>...tranny grinding...
Good enough reason not to buy a Z for ya?

Don't get me wrong I'm a big Z fan but stating MPG and that it's a "Ford" isn't a very good reason to stay away from a Stang. The car exists for a reason.

It only exists in the united states lol
in other countries where petro cost as much as 7 dollars a pop
a ford v8 that only pumps out 300 hp is just lame

anyway back to my final point
if you buy a ford you drive a ford
thats good enough for me to not buy domestic

Nice how they compare their GT deluxe model with the Enthusiast. Would be more accurate to at least compare it to the 35th or touring model.

Over the last year or so I've really grown tired of the stock Z look. Lower the Z and add some wheels and it looks 10x better.

Yes it's a Ford V8 that pumps out 300HP. You want more? That's a good bit if you ask me. And what is the point of that statement? That it's underpowered? That a 300HP v8 is lame? By that reasoning a Corvette LS1 with 350HP is *almost* lame.

What’s IS lame is your final point. It's a sweeping statement about all Ford cars that has nothing to do with the Mustang. Don’t buy domestic? Okay

A lowered Z with rims looks freaking evil.

Gotta agree, though...not a Ford fan either. Even though their comparison is a bit "weighted" to the Ford (GT vs. Enthusiast? ), I STILL like the Z better from every angle.

Thanks for sharing the link. I don't know if the stock Z wins in all pictures (i really wouldn't buy a Mustang even if it looked better to be honest, so I'm a bad person to judge), but I really do like the side by side comparison. Pretty neat.

I’m a huge fan of the Z and I want one pretty bad but the statement that a Ford is just a Ford is pretty lame, and an over generalization. Me and my family have owned 4 fords, and honestly no “major” problems with any of them. I currently have a 94 mustang GT convertible. I’ve had 0 major problems with it (trany, engine, tire feathering), and it’s a 12 year old car with 95% of the components oem from the factory. I’m not saying they are the best cars in the world, but from my experience I would buy again especially the new stangs (but I want a Z ).
