I thought for sure one of these systems allowed you to raise / lower the vehicle (in addition to damping force control)!! I guess I've been dreaming... or tripping, take your pick.
After all, the TEIN coilovers allow you to adjust height, so I thought the EDFC controller would do that for you.
The edfc is connected to servo-like motors that are attached to the top of all four dampers. When you press the buttons on the edfc those motors will turn the dampner shaft on top to adjust rates according to the edfc read-out.
TEIN has no production air system or air-compressor to lower the car on the fly. The adjustable height works traditionally, with manually turning the spring-seat up and down the thread tap on the side of the damper.
Most airbag rides use air-compressors but are not designed for track abuse. Imagine one of those bags blowing when you're on a course or on the highway. There are aftermarket companies (Tein, Zeal, tanabe?) that are or HAVE developed a track oriented/ heavy duty type of air adjustable suspension. I'm looking forward to see how those work out.
