With taxes, labor for mods, etc., I'm at around 53 or 54K. That's easy money for a 370 RWHP show car.

In my book, there isn't a car you can buy for 53K that comes close....

Please tell me you added the "Super Pursuit Mode", "Turbo Boost" and "Ejector Seat" mods for that price!

That seems more correct to me than most other people's prices. Either some of you got ripped off or are just trying to show off. $30K should get you every mod you ever wanted plus $30-35K for the car. I believe the BEAN is only a BBK, sound system, and interior away from being complete. That can be accomplished for $10K and I also agree, no other car for around $65K can touch his unless you have another $30K dream car that you want to put that much work into. I plan to go this route except more money into speed mods and not so much for exterior.

+1...even beofre the F/I addition.

With cost of the car, I'm at $90K now with the audio upgrades. (this includes two wheel sets, two suspensions, one blown motor, one new built motor, and painting the bumper cover & side skirts three times)

$90 Grand ????? It's a joke right?

Must be very nice to able to spend that much money into a car....but man one accident and it's ALL gone. No insurance companies covers aftermarket parts..not that I know of.

I know it's fun and the pleasure of owning a nice sports car and able to BUILD it to individual taste, but when do you say enough is enough?

Starring at the monitor with a very puzzled face. :/

He obviously can spend money if hes spent 90k. Progressive with insure mods, you just have to pay extra (alot extra lol). Its his money he spends it the way he likes it and if youve ever ridden in or even heard a TT 350z it is a sight to behold!

Well, after seeing a $90k Z, I don't feel so bad about wasting my money on a Nismo exhaust.

Speaking of Nismo, what's with the Nismo oil cap some people use? Is it just for show? Why else would you pay perfectly good money for an oil cap? That is ONE thing I simply can not understand.

$5k for wheels? Sure, I can see it.
$10k for audio? A bit excessive in my book, but yeah, it's not unheard of.
$7k for a turbo kit? Not sure where you're going to use that power, but at least it does something for you.
$30 for a shiny oil cap with "Nismo" on it? Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Then again, the whole show car concept escapes me entirely, so that may be part of my problem.

I guess if you've got money to just throw away, then have at it. For those of us that actually have to balance our checkbooks, just THINK what that money could do for you if you invested it. I don't know about you all, but my primary mutual fund (of 5 I have) has returned just a hair over 25% in the past 12 mos.

Well, not that anyone expects you to understand, but modding a car is just like any other hobby, it just happens to be an expensive one. And we who have modded still have to balance our checkbooks just like you, we just choose to put our expendable income into different things. Stock is fine for some not for others.

I've spent $7,000 on rims/tires and $5,000 on stereo equipment(DIY install).
Also spent about $250.00 on security and about $220.00 on tint.

expendable income? hell half my mr2 was funded by student loans.... (one of the dumbest things i could ever do) but i have learned, and now i am dealing with paying it off... it sucks, but oh well, live and learn... that is why i have restrained my self from buying a Z, so i dont get sucked back into spending money on it, and not paying off all my bills... but once that is taken care of, then i will move forward with a new car

With the cost of the car I am at around $76k and I still need fuel system upgrade, brakes, ings+1 LX bodykit and minor stereo upgrade.

Currently sitting at 468whp but looking to break into 550whp on pump gas when the new fuel system is installed.

Yes.....and at some point, you will cash in on your mutual fund gains and buy something.....like expensive mods, if you so desire.......unless you plan on taking all that $$$ to the grave.

Speed...no, I don't plan on taking that money to the grave. I plan on retiring from the military after I've done my 20 years (15 to go) and not working again...unless I WANT to. Seeing as how I don't really like working, per se, I'm going to stick to my plan.
