Default What's the average cost to replace the clutch on the Z??

I'm a seasoned MT driver, IMO at least, so I'm hoping to make the original one last a while!

Just curious about what the mileage was when some of you MT Z drivers had to replace the clutch.....and what the OEM clutch avg. replacement cost is.

Also, is there more of a heavier duty type clutch that may last longer, under normal driving conditions, assuming the driver is proficient with a MT?

your dealer will gladly put the Nismo clutch in for you and it qill be under warranty.
Its kinda spendy tho and equal clutches can be had elsewhere for less.

Be aware that the factory flywheel cant be resurfaced and has to be replaced when you replace the clutch. It cost around $900, but you can get a Nismo flywheel a lot cheaper. I think in the $500-600 range.

Why would a flywheel have to be replaced or resurfaced if there are no problems with it? I've replaced about 7 clutches in different vehicles and not once have I replaced or resurfaced the flywheel, and there were no problems.

If you're a good driver you won't have to worry about this probably any ways.
