Thumbs up I just spent $570 more today..

On mods for a car I haven't even seen yet. Now I'm up to $800 in mods and still no new Z

It's ok cuz I've got all the stuff I can buy without actually having the car and without talking away from the down payment fund too much

These parts will keep me happy until I take delivery.

So far in no particular order of importance.

Aluminium kick plates E-bay
Nismo floor mats (all carpeted ones) E-bay
Polished "Z" license plate frame E-bay
Aluminium pedal covers E-bay
Hotchkis Springs from Performance Nissan
Pop Charger from PN
Polished intake tube PN
15mm H&R Wheel spacers for the rear from PN
Short rubber S-2000 type antenna for an Acura SUV
B&M shift **** from Kragen. LOL yes Kragen (awsome ****)
Brake paint (the color is a secret)
Aluminium air caps of course

I think that's it for now..

If I had it to do over again, I would have just ordered it all from Performance Nissan. Would be much easier.

When I take delivery of the '06, on that same day, I will order my Veilside V-1 wing, set up an appointment for window tint and for the Springs and alignment, as well as somebody to paint the wing and install it.

Which reminds me, can anybody recommend a good place to get the wing painted and installed? What I would like to do if possible is to drop off the wing, have it painted, then set up an apointment to wait while they install it. Ain't no way, I'm leaving it overnight anyplace out of a 44's range.

I installed a Saleen Whale Tail on a '89 Mustang I had 14 years ago but lets just say I was a lot younger then and importance to detail wasn't a top priority with that car but a new Z.... well I would like somebody who knows more than me, to do the install with this wing

Here is an ebay link of the ****..... The pic doesn't really do the high quailty finish any justice.

Thats not anywhere near how bad I had it. I think I had 8gs into the car before it was delivered. It was a long 4 month wait. I had all the parts laid out in my living room resembling the car. LOL

The thing is, all those things you bought can be ordered pretty easily at any time. You should be researching what kind of wheels and tires you want to get (if any), in case the wheels you want are backordered...

I'm buying the wheels next summer. Either Axis Hiro's or Volk GT-C's.

Depends if I feel like spending $2,400 and getting an exhaust or $3,200 for wheels and tires only (Volks).

I will order the V-1 from you guys after I get the car.

Do you stock them or are they a special order item?

Of course. I'm going to wait on posting the pics until I get the wing on, the thing lowered and tinted. Otherwise it would just be a stock '06 Z.

I actually already test fitted it on a Z. The only thing I noticed is that this particular Z I fitted it on, the leather boot had about a 1/2" lip of excess leather at the top of the shift boot hole that was the same diameter as the shift rod. With the plastic insert and **** installed and snugged up, I need to figure out what to do about that excess 1/2" of leather because the bottom of the insert and **** is flat when installed and gives no place for the excess leather to tuck into anyplace.

Might have to trim the leather flush with the boot or tuck the excess leather inside of itself and figure out how to keep the boot from slipping down the rod because this **** sits a little bit higher with regards to the bottom of the **** but overall height is about the same. In other words the B&M is not quite as tall as the stock ****.

Since I don't have the car to mess around with it I can't be more accurate but one of the 7 included inserts does work just fine.

If I can tuck the excess leather and turn it inside of itself, I can use a zip tie or maybe a small hose clamp on the inside of the boot to hold up the boot.

I will worry about that later.

By the way the one on E-bay is a much better deal than the $40 I paid for mine LOL at least the $40 included tax, I think.

The pic doesn't show it but the B&M logo is in 3 spots around the ****

I want wheels...but something inside of me tells me to chill and wait for my stock tires to wear out. I have the funds to dump on the rims now, but i cant seem to do its with the 6 month old tires...maybe next year.

The stock tires are crap. Do it for the increased performance, looks and safety.
