From what I understand it is some sort of halucinegen. If you feel dizzy, light-headed, or like you are floating or as if insects are crawling under your skin, it is working. As for what it does, I believe it is some sort of chemical imbalance in your brain.

LSD...Limited Slip Differential....if one of your rear wheels starts slipping out, LSD will transfer the power to the rear wheel with the most traction to maintain stability when you corner
