I smoke in my car and as long as the windows are down and on the freeway, you should be good. If you smoke in stop and go traffic, well, you are assed-out it will linger....

i do it. only a car anyways. Done it in all my cars, and should not stop with the Z.
I should stop for other reasons, but not because is a Z.

Life should go on. That is my .02 cents.

I smoke, drink, and eat in the Z. I take out the trash at every stop. Coffee is the real problem, trying to get it not to slosh in the take out cup.

I use to let people smoke in my for for about a week. Then I used some invisible glass on the interior of my rear windsheild and at the amount of dirt that showed up even though i washed it a few days ago. No ones allowed to smoke in my cars anymore.

why would you willing reduce the resale value of your car by smoking in it? Makes no sense...

Possibility of permenant odor probably has something to do with it.

If I was worried about the resale value of a car, I wouldn't buy it. As an investment, a car is an out and out loser. I buy a car to use, not to resell.

Thanks for all the kind words for me quitting smoking. Like someone here has mentioned, it helped having extra money to pay the monthly car payments when you don't have to buy smokes all the time. A pack of smoke was getting expesive when I quit, I believe it was getting to be $8CDN. Don't know what it is now.

My friend still smokes and he goes through 5 packs a week.

That's a $160CDN a month he could have extra to put into a nice car payment. (he drives a 1989 Celebrity)

I know some people who chain smokes and buys 3 packs of smokes a day. Crazy. I was just an amatuer, only 1 pack a week.

I thought i was the only one who never bought food or anything with any kind of scent in the Z. I don't smoke and if someone wanted to smoke in the Z they can walk and work out those dirty lungs.

It has been my experience that it has NOT hurt the resale values of any cars that I have owned, I have bought all my cars new and traded them back in at dealerships and none could tell. When you are about to get rid of a car, quit smoking in it, use some air freshener and drive around with the windows down all the time, not to mention just let it sit in the driveway like that too for a couple of days and there is no way anyone could tell you ever smoked in it except for if you have a burn in the carpet or so. I had a new 2001 Celica, a new 2003 F150 4X4 and now the Z, when I traded the other two in had no probs at all. (Yeah I know I prolly should have just sold them in Autotrader, but oh well) That's why I really dont care too much about smokin in the Z, only prob is that ya gotta vaccuum about every week no matter how careful you are.
