Default 1000 miles and in for repairs allready!!!!!!

took my Z to the dealership today to get it cleaned up a little, (per my agreement with the saleman when i bought it.) I dropped the car off early this morning and i got a call about an hour and a half later and they told me one of their people backed into my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was waiting for the just kidding punchline which never came. i went to the dealership to check it out and this girl backed into the passenger side and dented the door and front fender. They are taking it for like a week to get it all fixed up but it just sucks. i just bought the car like 2 weeks ago. the damage isn't so bad, and actually the Xterra that backed into my car got mangled pretty good as well.

Its not unusual to take the car to the dealer for repairs, and have it returned in worse condition. Sorry.

Guess it hasn't hit you yet that you will miss your Z dearly. When I had mine in the speed shop for the Kaaz, it was gone for a week and a half because the speed shop owner was lazy. Man, I missed my Z soooooo much, when I got it back, it was like driving it the first time all over again.

I know the feeling. 4 weeks after I got mine a deer decided to jump in the road, while I missed hitting the deer head on he went sliding on the pavement and ran it's big head with antlers into my door causing 4 dents, 3 smaller and one not so small. The paint has never been the same since, not to mention they tried 5 time of repainting to half way match the color, and the cracked a tail light and scratched one of my Rims. I HAT3 TH3 D3AL3RS. They did replace the tail light, and the rim was light enough that i refinished it. Still why can't they just do things right.

Default Resale value.

I would ask them how this is going to affect the resale value of your Z, if you do end up selling it later down the road. Is this going to be reported on CarFax? Will they just fix it "under the table"? A friend of mine had a BMW that had some minor door dings and a mirror replaced. When he went to sale the car it showed up on carfax, and the value was much less than he was hoping to get. He kept his car in excellent shape aside from these repairs. Something minor can easily bring down the value. Just an FYI, something to look into.
