Well if these weight increases are correct, then it pretty much cancels out the 13 extra HP advantage. This makes me

I scratched my head about that too and just then I saw them! Look closely on the preceeding page where Jason's taken pics from several angles. There are skinny, long, black, rubbery protrusions alongside the rear of the wheel well. That's it.

For 2006 they are probably going to come out with a new aero kit... we don tknow yet...
Yeah, I was talking about the '06. They list all other kit components (same as '03-'05) except the front lip. Good thing I won't be ordering for a few months. Hopefully it will be out by then. A new Nismo kit is overdue, IMO.

To my understanding the nismo body parts are not available when purchasing the Z from NISSAN... they can be added at the dealer as a factory accessory...

Ya but I like those alot, but I was thinking once the 06 hype wears off the track rims would be alot cheaper than the Nismo's.

2003-2005 track wheels still go for around $1400 used without tires...

NNA lets one choose all S-Tune Nismo components off the web site while configuring the Z. The local dealer told me that the car will arrive with everything I add to it while placing the order. But then again, who knows...

I have found quite a few on ebay with tires for right around a grand.... You can get the forged 19" rims from the G35 (which weigh 19 pounds each) for about 1500 with tires from e-bay.

I was actually thinkin about the G35 rims but they are not any wider!

Great pics of the new colors. Although, hard to tell the difference with the new black.

Anyways....I am disappointed by the increased weight. Here...let me put it in perspective in terms for the 6MT:

More Weight and Less TQ = slower than 05 Zs ? I don't think the 300 HP is gonna count for anything for the getup and go factor (non-highway). I think I have to start looking at some 05 Zs, but I want those new LED lights though!

when is the last time you were racing someone from 2000RPM-3000RPM... thats where the torque is lost... from there up the 300HP makes more power up to redline...

Those wider 265's in the rear must look nice. The Bridgestone 050A tire is pretty decent too, my dad has them on his 04 S2K and they have great dry grip.

Art Vandaleigh, that's a cool login! Although George Costanza would've spelled it "Vandalay" (!)

You can order a car with a S-Tune from the factory! This is an Enthusiast with 19" LMGT4 - Nismo Aero - Nismo Exhaust - S-tune Suspension!

Very interesting. Sure would be nice to throw $3500 wheel/tires into financing.

No you can't. This was available since the 05s and all NISMO parts are --Dealer installed--, that is why they say "(installation not included)".

Trust me on this one, I did it for mine.

Jason,
These track rims are awesome. Are they 18 or 19"?
are they available to buy yet and how much?
you may have already answered these questions but this thread is exponentially growing

Thanks Jason...
