is your 1st gear ALOT lounder when it revs up


i got my new tranny a few months back and its much lounder and whiney!

the sound you described is what im hearing

ive got a 03 but a 05 tranny version 008

i probably have under 3K miles on the new one

when you get up to about 5500K RPMS its whining loud right?
ok from there if you push the clutch in at that RPM do you hear a seperate whine sound like something unwhinding or kinda of like from high to low pitch vs the low to high when your accelerating?

wonder if its the way the gear is cut? it couldnt be the stock flywheel could it?

any help on this is greatly appreciated


also if your just cruising slowly in a parking lot in 1st with your window rolled down is it loud then too especialy up against a wall?

if its to the point where you dont use 2nd in parking lots then were in the same boat

and since you have a new Z it tells me that more than likely nothing is wrong with mine in particular
