Angry Scrapes on my bottom lip...

The right bottom lip of my Z is all scraped up, don't want a whole new bumper though, is there a way to cheaply fix it, even temp? Anything to make it look a little better.

i am not an expert in this field but wont touch up paint cover it up. if you are looking for something that'll look smooth i guess putty it and then repaint that area if you can find a paint shop that has your color paint.

power enterprises will cover the whole thing if you got a ripple in it(like me) or top secret will just cover scrapes.

if you dont want to add, Id say touch it up, possibly do a light sanding to get the big scrapes off, but not so much that you remove the good sections of paint.

Prob. is on one of the scrapes you can see black! Maybe just a little touch up? Where can I get some touchup paint and is it something I should do myself? And when you say that PE covers Ripples and TS covers scrapes, do you mean they cover it in a warranty situation or that when you replace it with the said products it will cover a scrape you already have? Thanks.

oh hahaha, no I meant it would cover it as in it goes over the peice in question. haha, nah theres a good chance youll scrape that too, but what can ya do?

I scraped twice, now I am aware of my limits, park about a foot away from the curb(still 2 feet farther in the spot then the SUVs all over the place) and hills are a no no. Im working up the courage to put a lip on, I figure if I can hit 5000miles without hitting again, I can make it.

Good luck!! Low cars are a PIA! I'm interested in how high up the scrapes are... are they on the front section of the bumper or are they hidden underneath on the painted portion of the underbelly?

mine are just barely visible from about 6 feet away from the car at normal viewing hight. any closer and they are underneith.

the main problem I had is that when I scraped, it bent the bar, and put a crease in it that is very obvious due to the incorrect reflection.

Man, that's a bummer. I hit a couple curbs in my Z32 but nothing that stuck out like a sore thumb. Good luck with the new lip. If you can get one that's Urethane otherwise you'll have yet another cracked lip. =(
