It says that they had a special manufature request to buy several 2003 350Zs why do you think that is and should I do it I am not sure if there gonna just give me a new Z or I will have to pay the differance. Did any of you guys get this in the mail from your nissan dealer?

At first glance I would say it's a ploy to get you to purchase a new Nissan. From what it saounds like though, it is offering a striaght trade for a new model. I am not sure how to take it.

You can trade your 350Z for a new one and keep the same payments. I don't see anything “special” about that.

it's a marketing strategy for sure.
You come to the stealership, they said they will buy your car back and put you into a new car.
Now they are making money on both selling you a new car and also your used car.

I used to be a nissan salesman, that is a standard letter we would send out to various owners, service users etc... every few months. What it means is that their sales are slow and people think they will get a deal. Best example is that you pay 350/mth now and they can get you in a new one for 450/mth for much longer. It is nothing more than what would happen if you went any other time, but it gets you in which is 75% of the battle in car sales. BTW, getting a job as a salesman was the best thing I ever did, I sold my soul for 3 months to get my Z at a crazy price, lol.
