Default Door Open/Close Automatic Window Movement

For several weeks now, when I open and close the door on my driver side, the window doesn't move more than a tenth of an inch, while the passenger window probably moves more like half an inch.

I was at the Nissan dealership getting my oil changed a few days ago and they told me that it had something to do with the way the people had tinted my windows. He said that they removed my door panels and "reset" the automatic up/down feature. I called his BS since I sat there and watched them tint the windows the whole time and did not remove the door panels. He didn't seem all that happy, but agreed to try to fix it. He estimated the wait to be about and hour and a half to try to remove the door panel and reset it to factory standard. I didn't have an hour and a half to spend so I told him I'd come back some other time.

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any idea what it could be?

My z does the same thing. I pointed it out to the dealer when picking up the car. They had a Nissan rep there and they said it was normal. I also had an opportunity to look at 3 others at the dealer and they all did the same exact thing. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the window trim holding it up.

Same here. It seemed fine until it started freezing out. Now it barely drops, but drops enough to clear the frame.

Thumbs up

gstdtim,
What you describe is normal. I have untinted windows and the window drop is as you described - much more on the passenger door than on the driver door. Everythings okay!

Default Any broken windows yet?

I am a little concerned about this thread, but if no windows have been broken I guess there is no problem.
