Give me a break! Your car is bad!
You may not be old enough to think in the long term but...
the 240Z evolved gradually into the 300ZX. Many Z-enthusiasts agree that Datsun put the final nail in the Z-coffin with the 300ZX: it was too complicated and too expensive. Like the 240Z, the 350Z will evolve. Where it will be 20 years from now who knows.

hehe thanks man, your car too!
yeah piddly crap like LED's or whatever doesn't mean crap to me. I know they're better technology - they light up a fraction of a second faster, have faster reaction times, and if one goes out, the rest still function, but I mean, it's just a tail light
Can anybody say RWD, Handling, Torque Steer? Fit and Finish are great, but when you get down to it there has, and never will be a sports car without Rear Wheel Drive, may have AWD, but never FWD.

I just turned in an Enterprise Rental (Accord EX) with a weak-azz 2.4 VTEC....Sooo glad to get my '05 Grand Prix (company car) back from getting inspected (3.8 L V6 200 HP). The front wheels chirp on this bad boy, with just a slight touch of the pedal.
I miss my Z....now parked at my parents house with a car cover

At the end of a long day, I can just stand in my driveway and stare at my Z to feel a sense of well-being. Somehow, I just don't see myself doing that with a Civic. My two-cents...

17" wheels, better rubber
Aluminum shift bushings
More HP
6 sp. MT
The thing I miss the most about my old EP3 is the 1.9% financing. Just can't get that low on a Z for some reason.
As for the original thread post, I don't see how FF could ever be as sporty as FR. Should've bought a Honda if he was concerned with available options for cheap.

If Civic is modable, so is the Z or Viper too. Ah that gives me an idea, lets compared modded Civics to modded Viper 8.3L V10s.

Same motor with a drive by wire, so lets see how fast the aftermarket develops parts for it. I am sure we will be seeing some (modded ones) very soon in the kills section with the Z losing
If it's a Civic with a RSX motor in it should we just call it an RSX as well.
They can modd all they want , it still won't drive like a Z.
i just bought a 06 350z and i traded in my 02 accord v6 and before that i had a 2000 civic w/ jdm b18 and tranny swap w/ some mods. i had always been a honda guy, i was even going to get a s2000. but getting the Z was by far the best dec. i could have made. it's like comparing apples and um..... grapes.

A different class, no argument: a true sportscar vs an entry level coupe. Yet no matter how others may view the civic as "lowly," and whatever criteria they base it on, the true Honda head will rate it not on looks, rwd, etc. but on ultimate performance, namely who is faster and what type of beast he transformed it into. Therein lies most of the satisfaction. Aftermarket WILL rise quick, and the Si's that are well-built (though they may be few among all the posers) will have my respect. I love my Z and it is no doubt an exciting sportscar, but I don't let it blind me. Yes, they are definitely different cars, yet to each his own. I owned an allmotor 99 Si alongside my '03 Z, until the Si was stolen. I loved them both for different reasons, obviously.
Regarding the small changes, I don't sweat how businesses always update the market with new, flashy trick stuff. They must to keep interest, keep up on competition and generate sales.

This scenario also applies to corporate meetings, physician pharmaceutical dinners, law seminars, etc, etc, etc.
If it makes you feel any better....
My mom's 2005.....
let me say that again.
2005!!!!
Mercedes Benz CLK drop top, priced at near 60k, came with HID's as an OPTION!!! That means some cars she looked at on the lot, were STILL equipped with Halogens.
That's a premium brand car, at TWICE the price of the Z, with HID's still as an option in the 21st century!
My point is, just because it has HID's or LED's doesn't make it a premium car.
Even though some cars are not equipped with it, doesn't make it any less than others that are well equipped. Eventually though, this will be the norm.
As far as climbing HP in the Civic.
Until that thing is RWD and has a solid chasis for under 30k, I can't give a damn how much HP it makes.
