Experience is the best teacher! We only have to get taken once and we remember for a long time. I always say $1.00 save is $1.30 earned ( at least)

only buy nissan thru the fleet manager at your store. you should be able to buy that car for invoice or about $500 over. they need 2 get rid of the 2005 cars on the lot in order to be able to obtain 06's.

Hello gents,

Thanks for the input...I guess it's just that I'm stuck on the Ultra Yellow color. Otherwise I would get an '06 ( the new rims are tight!!) The price for the '05 includes all taxes, title etc. It was actually $28.7K for the car, the other fees (tax, title etc) are what brought the total out the door price to $30K.

No!! It's an '05 model. Negotiate for 27 or 28 grand. Meet somewhere in the middle. If dealer refuses, act like your leaving. They will call u back to negotiate the deal. Stick to the price you want. Hope that helps.

You hit the nail on the head. I got my 04 Touring in early 05 and paid under 30K for it.

not only that,
remember the LOCAL market kinda affects price, some dealers, at least arround here, would let you walk! with such an offer...

on the window sticker i even saw something called "adjusted market value: $4000!!!!!" i REFUSE to pay that much in pure profit for any vehicle anywhere...

i know next time arround im probably gonna go WAYYYY outta state for mine.
and secure a REAL deal!! and there will be a next time hehehe i love it!

good luck!!

Thats a great deal. Its UY, a 1 year color. 06's will not be a better car than 05 due to the weight gain. So besides the minor changes you win!

You should be able to get it lower than 30k out the door. Maybe 29K since your in NY, I think Nissan is offering a 1k cash rebate............

I am thinking 29K OTD would be a pretty good deal. Let's be clear here. That is tax, license, title, options, advertising (internet pop) and dealer prep. 30K if you just have to have it. That would be of course with Aero, splash, floor mats, cargo mats, cargo net package, door sills, and side curtains. That's what I would try to get it for based on my purchase. Go through the internet department. You'll get a sweeter deal.

I noticed they increased the Dest/Dealer handing fee from $540 to $605 for '06 model.

How did you get side airbags?
I asked to get them from two dealerships and they said NOT on ANY Enth. models.
I have EVERY option available for the 6MT 05 Enth. and it cost me 28,220+TTT
Are you sure you have side airbags?

1950 dealer miles? Thats a used and completely abused car most likely. I'd say you did the right thing avoiding it. I paid $35,500 for my 35th right when they came out and it was the only one in the state. $30k out the door doesn't seem too bad, especially for the limited color.

No 1950 USED miles... A guy bought a NEW base model. Had it for two weeks and bought this 35th. Had it for 2 months and traded (yet again) for a full size Titan.

NOT abused...Bought the car with single digits on it. He's an old retired guy. He might have gotten on it a few times???

Great that you do - wouldnt it be a sad state of affairs if everyone had bought a silverstone??
