Default ride height

I was wondering if i dropped my z an inch and got 19s would my car still ride at the same height as it was with 18s and not dropped or would it be lower.

With 19's running a 35 series tires (which is recommended), your car will sit almost exactly as high as it does with 18's on 45 series tire. The rolling circumference of the 19 is actually a little bit SHORTER than that of the 18 because the drop in sidewall height more than evens out the extra 1/2" of radius in the wheel....just barely.

That said, if you drop your car 1" and install 19's, your car will sit 1" lower than it does right now.

That would depend on the size of the 19-inch tires. Use this calculator: http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

A stock Z has much more clearance than 4 inches. You must be talking about your car. I was recently asked in another thread what my clearance was, and I was surprised to find upon measurement that I have only 3.5" on the front bumper, and 2.8-ish at the front of the side-skirts. Bugs fear me!!!

If you could only retract the front spoiler when you needed to, it could double as a snow plow in Denver for the winter. Lol !!!

I dont think thats even practical in pennsylvania...
The roads are horrible, imperfections and pot holes everywhere...
especially late winter/early springs roads are nasty... lowered cars really have problems...

has anyone here got the Roberuta installed? I want to see how well they work before I even think of buying them. I know I'm definitely gonna need on-the-fly raising & lowering for the car if I'm gonna lower my car with the Ings N-Spec kit on.

Just get the Tien Flex with EDFC... solve all your problems.

Ride harshness, and bad reviews of the Flex is what's preventing me from getting it, that and from what I've read you can't drop your car more than 2in with the Flex.

The EDFC controls ride stiffness, not ride height. Most coilovers allow some height adjustment, but it requires out-of-car adjustment, so not practical for "road management".

A 2 inch drop on the Z is a LOT. With a 2 inch drop your car will no longer align properly without a $400 camber kit, and possibly more.
