i now have a cover with a lock for that very reason. Out of sight out of mind i hope. Now i bet someone will just come by and kick it like has happened to some of you. Man people can really drain the fun out of life sometimes....

gatti-man--that might not work. I had my Z under a car cover. So what did the m-fer's do?
They sliced the cover w/ a knife/razor. "Keyed" the paint in doing so. After that, they slashed my RR tire (fortunately it was down to the wear bars already). Then, if that weren't enough, they took a bat/brick (some heavy blunt object--could me the m-f'er's HEAD) to the rear glass.

A quick update....
I asked around and ended up at one the most reputable shops in town for the body work. I've been by twice to pick it up and it looked like crap!
First visit... it had overspray on the rear, a huge gouge in the door, and orangepeel down the whole side. Adjuster said it would be repaired correctly.
Second visit... Overspray gone. gouge slightly repaired, but orange peel still visible from 5 feet away. This time the shop manager came out and looked at it. He said he would have it taken care of.
I'm supposed to try for round three today. I hate to be an arsehole, but I could have done a better job at home with a can of Rustoleum... If it isn't done cerroectly this time, I'll have to get my insurance adjuster involved again and possibly take it to a shop that doesn't have idiots working in the paint shop.

sorry to hear that, this kinda crap pisses me off to no end. u respect other peoples belongings and do not touch, plain and simple. i always even park my ride as far away but yet in safe looking areas of parking lots.......was leaving a parking space at the bank a week ago, i'm centered in my spot this chick in a beater that looks mad at the world pulls in like not even one foot from the passenger side on my car. i looked at her like wtf! are u retarded!? she looks at how close she is and still proceeds to get out, luckily i was getting ready to back out and pulled out before she could open her door. If i wouldnt have got out of the bank before she pulled in she defintely would have dinged up my door. i just dont understand the mindset of people like this.

i think anyone who has vandalized someone's car should be put in a house like in Saw 2...they at least need to at least be put on an island together so they can key each other to death...vandals are the lowest form of life

Round three... and two weeks later
Almost right, but not there yet. Still some orage peel around the bottom section of the door. WTF do you have to do to get somone to do a job right the first time?
