Why is it so high with Geico??

Some people just have a lot of points. A friend of mine, here in NJ, had a 91 isuzu pickup, total beater, worth nothing, that he paid almost $500 a month for insurance with minimum coverage because he had like 11 points. I would say that if he had a Z with full coverage it would be much higher. I'm still on my parents insurance and was told if I was on my own it would be $6500 a year to insure the Z, I have 4 points, 20 years old.

Car payment- $280
Insurance - $90 per month

I really lucked out with my insurance. When they quoted me the price my jaw pretty much dropped to the floor.

$533/mo. $2052/year or $171/mo. with Z and Grand Am on full coverage. Liberty Mutual... was with Progressive but they jacked it up to ~$4000 per year after a "too fast for conditions" ticket. Please.

I think I'm at the limit of what I would pay for the Z. But I do get $533 worth of enjoyment out of it every month.

Must be nice to have $0 payment! $530 @ 4.49% for 6 years for me, zero down. $167 mo for insurance but this includes my IS300 as well (Allstate). Believe it or not, it was cheaper to insure the Roadster vs the Coupe by $7.00.

Car was paid in full at delivery. Insurance is another story. I pay just over $300 a month. My young age plays less of a factor than where I live. Insurance companies tell me that people in SFL sue over anything and with all those elderly drivers... When my address was on the Panhandle of Florida, I paid half that. WTF?

Paying $434/mo + 133 ins. Soon to be $580/mo. Changed my lease to a purchase.
And 30k doesn't only buy you a base, I have an '05 enthusiast.
Storing the car for 3 years. It will only have 6k in 2009!
