I was told when they replaced mine that they don't fix them, they just replace it with a new tranny. I also heard that the "new" replacement tranny's were actually rebuilds. I will say... the new tranny is more notchy, and both 5th and 6th gears and kinda hard to shift into, atleast at lower speeds/rpms. I liked the '03 tranny better until the syncro's went out.

shiz... i hate how they are going to give me a tranny not as good as the original..... but then again at this point, almost anything is better than having it grind in 3rd gear up or down shifting unless it's babied into the gear... =/ i love a 100k mile warranty though!

tripmachine, judging from your join date, I assume you have a 05? If it is, it's one of the first 05's I heard of with a tranny problem. Keep us updated and also tell me how Connell Nissan handled everything. Thanks.

If you bought the car used he cluth could go out tomorrow. You have no idea how the car was used before. Id definitly do it. Also a new flywheel and new clutch will wear better together i think.
