Default Gotta love the popcharger

It was about 56 degrees outside....first off, i love the tone of the Z sitting on my driveway in the cold weather......after coming home this past weekend from a bar after a 30 minute drive, I popped the hood of my car up and felt the temperature between the popcharger filter behind the heatshield, and the engine on the other side of the heatshield....I was surprised when I touch the top part of the popcharger and it was COLD...not warm or cool...but it was actually cold...and the air in that area was a LOT cooler than the engine bay....DAMN that heatshield REALLY WORKS!!! No wonder why the car drives better in the colder weather eh???

just thought I'd share with ya

Cold air = denser air, which basically means you can cram more air in and then the computer compensates by adding more fuel which equals more power.

Is a popcharger the same thing as a intake like the injen or any other brand?

yep.. its a simple short ram but its got a huge filter and a airguide to keep temps down near the intake. Its like an airbox w/o the top and open at the front.

Installed mine tonight. Bought it used but in great shape from a fellow forum member. Wow! Easy installation and love the growl! Butt meter says car feels quicker to rev. The sound alone might even keep me from investing in an aftermarket exhaust system.

My popcharger is going under the hood this Saturday...based on all the comments I see here, it looks like I won't be disappointed.

All you guys who have recently installed/are planning on intalling the popcharger, you do know about having to reset the ECU to recognize the popcharger, right? I'm sure many of you did, but those who didn't, you do now! Here's the how to: http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm

The ECU will recognize it in due time. I have been told by many there is no need for a reset just for this or other basic bolt ons. After a while the ECU will compensate...

Also the instructions you sent looks like they are for a CEL that is on. The Pop will not throw a CEL.
