Not a single 35th Anniversary out of the +2500 cars in the survey

I must really have a collectable - or an unwanted combination of features

Mellowman, go with Enthusiast. Yes, LSD and TCS are worth it, but that's not the only difference. You'll also get the cool cross-dilled pedals, Homelink w/ auto dimming mirror, Cruise Control, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. Worth it? I think so!

+1-Well, I have VDC which is equally as annoying but slightly more sophisticated. I turn it off everytime I get in the car unless I"m going on a trip or it's pouring down rain. However, it is nice to have and the LSD definitely worth it.

Right on. I have been driving a rwd car for the past 6 years. Because this is my only car, I get to experience the pleasure of driving it all year round. And for those of you that arent familiar with western PA, there are a good number of hills, and we get a fair amount of snow. And I do not have any traction control or stability control systems...just abs, all seasons, a bag of sand in the back, and a careful right foot. I actually prefer driving my rwd car over any fwd car. When I am accelerating up a hill or even on a flat road, if the back end starts to slide out, all you have to do is let up a little on the gas, and it goes right back into place. I love it when I'm driving down the road and I see some 4wd suv stuck in the ditch. I thought 4wd > *

That being said, I have no problem buying a Z and knowing that I'm going to be driving it year round. Just going to get some decent winter tires, and have some fun when the occasion arises. Gotta love rwd cars Bring on the snow!!!!! (just skip the ice, please )

YOU might know how the Z acts in the rain or don't act stupid when it rains, but that doesn't mean the cars around you know how to act in the rain or not do something stupid in the rain. If something were to happen and you had to avoid another car because they acted stupid or didn't know how to act in a car in the rain. Your action to avoid the car with TCS turned on could mean the difference between life and death.

I'm sorry, but I'm not that confident in other people that much to have TCS off in the rain.

I have a base and converted it mostly to Enthusiest, put in pedals, OEM hids, OEM VLSD. If I had to do it agian, I would probably get the Enthusiest.

But on the other hand I hate traction control, even if I had it, it would be off all the time, even in the rain. I know how the Z acts in the rain, so I dont act stupid when it rains.

Yeah, but how maney cars out their are Rear Wheel Drive? Most are Front Wheel Drive that are better in the rain.

And again, what the other person said about having less accidents. Car Accidents is the number one cause of death in North America.

I would not recommend driving a Z in the Snow, it would be like a snow plow, Enthusiast model is the way to go, higher resale valve and much more marketable.

You WON'T be saying that AFTER you start hydroplaning and doing 180 degree skids in heavy rain

which can be prevented by driving carefully when the weather gets nasty. I'm with diesel on this one. People are relying too much on technology to correct/prevent accidents caused by DRIVER error.

The numbers are from here:

http://350zforum.com/

This is not a survey or poll (terribly inaccurate), but a data base search. I believe that the numbers are representative of this forum, and the 350Z population in general.

BTW Paul350Z is the Chief. I’m a Master Sergeant, USAF, Retired.

Agree with everyone when saying if you drive in the rain or snow.. you will need it! But for racing ... better to get an after market lsd like Kazz.

It all depens on how much you went mod your vehicle. It makes no sense for you to spend the extra money on the LSD and cruise control when your planning to buy an aftermarket LSD and steering wheel, and same goes for TCS if your planning to track your car its all about how you drive your car and not how much the TCS and VDC fixes your mistakes.

I own a 06 enthusiast, check it out but i don't know if the base comes stock 18 inch track wheels, also it is def worth is, its always good to have that extra things on your car, and for 1700 def worth it, if you don't mind me asking how much are you being offered for the base and how much for the enth. I am really good friends with the internet sales manager at one of the dealerships here and he routed a silverstone enth and had it come to his dealership (the first shipment of them first week October so two weeks ago) and sold it to me at invoice, so I walked out the door tax and tags and everything at 29,100. Gives you an idea of somewhat kind of room you are working with. Def go with enth!

If you don't mind me asking what is Invoice on an 06 Enthusiast? Different websites seem to have different numbers.
