I can’t tell you which model is best for you, but I can tell you the most popular models with 350Z owners.

The reason why I didnt buy the 05 Touring is because of the cost for upgrading to each trim line. $27K for Base, $29K for the enthusiast, $31K for the performance, $34K for the touring, $35K for the track and $36-37K for the 35th. These are rough estimates only, If I am wrong on price, sorry. I couldnt justify Leather seats, VDC, 18" wheels, (which I plan to replace with either 19" Racing Hart R5's or 19" Volk SF challange) for another $4-5K. So I opted for the Enthusiast. Its just my PERSONAL justification for buying the ENTH.

enthusiasts...
forged rims and brembos are my only gripes but no way they are worth 6000 bucks!
with extra 6000 bucks, stop tech fronts and super light ssr racing rims would only use part of that money...

Base and enthusiast are cost effective if modding alot on a budget. Touring if you like factory leather, track if you want to keep performnce stock wheels and better factory brakes.

No way is stock forged rims and stock brakes 6000 bucks...
if I had 6000 bucks to buy those 2 things...
Grex 6 pot (gigantic) brakes and SSR racing rims with nice rubber (not RE40)

Love the touring. Very nice to have the leather and power seats. I can't imagine spending a lot for a car without leather/power seats. Also the Bose isn't as bad as people make it out to be. If I could do it again i'd get a grand touring. A 4 wheel BBK costs a minimum of $3500...and the new Rays rims are finally wide enough to fit a nice wide tire. Also the grand touring has larger tires. Granted you can always build an aftermarket monster but...I find there's always some issue (do the brakes work with EBD/BAS/TCS/VDC?, can you use the TPS with your aftermarket rims, etc.) By the time you do everything right you usually end up spending a lot.

Enthusiast
+LSD from the base is a must
HIDs are also a nice perk, along with TCS.

I went for an 05 enthusiast, it had everything i needed like HID's, Traction Control, lsd, the cloth seats are nice addition to the ride, the only other Z i was considering when buying was a track or 35th, because of the brembos, its just so darn sexy. I would of loved to went for a touring, but my enthusiast was in my mind a great buy at the time, but hey im getting performance parts for my Z year round.

i'm pretty much buying the car as a weekend car, but i do want leather and the LSD....i'm not to sure about that VDC crap, seems like you guys don't like it too much, and the brembos would be nice but i could do without....i don't care what wheels are on it cuz i'll buy aftermarket
