Yep, correct. The idea isn't to sqaush information sharing with other sites, it's to prevent this site doing free advertisement for a competitor...That's my take on it anyway.

im a member of motoring and tech as well as here.....

I like all three sites but this one seems to have the most info and is the fastest paced board.

I like tech alot too but I dont frequent it as much as I should. There is a lot of good people and a lot of good info on there as well. I read alot on Tech but haven't really posted alot.

When it comes to motoring, I liked the board but over the past couple months its been going down hill. TO many people are on there that just steal threads and start little arguements that have nothing to do with the thread. That has been happening FAR TOO MUCH lately and is a big reason I focus on this site primarily now and Tech as my secondary site.

I'm only a member here... I don't have nearly enough time to try and keep up with another forum.

The "tech" controversy that led to the eventual censoring of the name came from a heavy promotion of that site (on this site) when it initially launched.

I know precisely what you mean.

I used to be one of the biggest contributors on that board a long time ago... and issues such as you noted were reasons why I started to post less and less over there... that, and when the site owner let the site go out of service for the span of a few months...

Making excuses about it, pushing it (yet again), and saying, "the owners here are scared" (even in jest, if that's what you're doing), doesn't make me want to go there. Saying, "We spammed the forum and are paying the deserved price," might.

To answer the thread starter's question, I think I actually am a member there, but due to their practices, I don't go, nor will I ever go. Honest feedback, sorry.
I think alot of people are missing the point of what tech really is. It is not a forum. Yes we have a forum, but our focus is to present ALL 350z relatated information in a very easy to navigate system. A large forum does indeed have alot of information to be found, but finding it is near impossible with over a million posts.

I am sorry for pissing people off years ago. But honestly I was treated the same by the admins here. Spamming was not right. And much of it was beyond my control.

Each forum has something different to add, and good or bad points, but this forum by far has the most information if you can get the search to find it.

Actually, the funniest thing that I ever saw to come out of this "war" between the sites is this:

C:\Temp>tracert www.350z - tech.com

Tracing route to my350zkiller.*********.com [206.225.86.5]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

I'm a member on both sites. 350zmotoring is smaller. My350z has more info IMO but also more flaming idiots.

You're exempting yourself from that list, I'm sure.

I dont see the point of me paying just to have a avatar and a sig picture. which is all I really want. I dont care about the ads and space. Alot of forums have Custom avatars and sig so why not this one.

My avatar

This is the best site out there. User friendly and friendly users!
Correct. If you're a regular at ********.com, you're treated cordially. But often outsiders are either ignored or bashed.
