Nervous as hell..
So i recently got a parking spot in the garage at school here...its a swipe enter lot, so its relatively safe. However, i'm still nervous about my car. I need it here to commute to work, and this was the safest bet. Expensive too, damnit.
Anyone have experience with parking garages, specifically ones that are swipe enter? I'll be crapping myself all night while i'm in New York.

back in chicago/evanston i had a garage parking spot at school. basically you
you pull underground and swipe your card. the door opens to allow entry then
closes after you enter. never had much problem there. i had a new 99 miata.
only thing was in the winter you have to be careful pulling in and out or the
car will slide down into the door if the ramp is icy. when you try to exit the
car slides back down if it doesn't get traction or when going down the ramp
to enter the car will keep going when you hit the break.
all in all though, it is much safer than leaving your car in the lot in my opinion.
