The factory points in the pic above work well. When jacking each corner, it works best to use the car jack, which has a cutout for the pinch weld, so it won't bent. Otherwise, make a slit in a block of 2X4 and set atop your floor jack for the same purpose. The front and rear central floor jack points work great; just might have to drive the car up on some boards first to be able to get the jack under the front. I've put it on jackstands at the side (corner) jack points, except I turn the stand so that the top of it supports the car lengthwise just behind the pinch weld; there is a reinforced plate there.

I would never jack up or support the weight of the car by suspension components... just makes me nervous for some reason.

When lifting the car, be sure to chock the tires to keep the car from moving.

To get the front of the car completely off the ground:

I use either the factory jack or small floor jack to jack up one front side of the car using the front side jack point. Jack the front side up enough to slide another jack under the front of the car. Then take my large floor jack and going in from the front of the car, I lift the entire front of the car by the crossmember thats between the engine and trans. I believe it's marked with and O in the diagram listed above. Actually the center jack point is more between the front suspension, not between the engine/trans.

To lift the rear:

place jack under differental housing, just be careful your jacks lifting on the thick metal "pad" on the bottom of the dif and not the cover.

By lifting the car from the center line points front and rear you are free to place jackstands at the side jacking points.

BTW, the front control arms is a good place to put a jack stand. Make sure to have a backup jack underneath, just incase the stand slips. The entire rear end can be lifted by the axile pumpkin.

To solve the problem of the joint/pinch I got me some 1" thick hard rubber and made some 4"x4"x1" blocks. Then I cut a 1/4" wide groove across the center of each block. It slips over the joint then you can put the jack or jackstand under it to cushion and protect.

I recently put on my Nismo sideskirts and noticed that I can no longer insert my factory jack at the pinch, because the sideskirts are on one side of them and I"ll basically crack the skirts if I push up on it. So my question is, is it safe to put the factory jack right behind the pinch? O I'm basically shifting the jack point away from the side of the car and closer towards the center by putting the entire top surface of the jack in the area directly behind the pinch.
