We see threads all the time about people who have transmission problems with their cars. Of course what we rarely see are posts by people who have never had any of these problems. However, more importantly is the fact that those of us who do post here are but a small fraction of Z owners.

My question is this. Is there anyway to find out what percentage of ALL 350Z's sold have had tranny issues? This information could either be a huge comfort to most of us or cause many of us to lose sleep at night.

 

I have a damn automatic 350z and my tranny got stuck in 4th gear twice so far

 

'05 here with ~ 1k miles. I've driven it only like 4-5 times myself, and notice that when going into 2nd is not as smooth as 4th, 5th, 6th. I guess its probably the term 'notchy' that others describe this gear.

 

Auto transmission and problem free. I stay away from the manual mode. Its been to the track and work is 30miles away.
