Default Heated Mirrors

Hey all--just wondering if it's possible to add heated mirrors to my enthusiast? Is the car already wired for it? Know about how much it would cost? From my experience so far, this is one option I should have TAKEN. Thanks and take care!

as far as i know it's standard on all. you push the button for the rear window defroster and the heated mirrors come on too.

I think its only on touring models, but Im not positive.

wait just checked, only on touring models. you could probably get a set of touring model mirrors, then wire it to the existing defroster in the same way the touring model is wired.

Dealer told me that he had a touring Z on the lot and accidentially broke the mirror and housing. Didn't give me an exact figure but said the replacement costs were outrageously high.

Tried a little "Fox X" on them today--seems to help quite a bit--not really a permanent fix, though

i wonder if it's a whole new mirror assembly, or if there's a heater element behind the mirror that can be added to the existing assy...?

Are heated mirrors beneficial only for de-icing ?

Curious... since there is an side mirror option in Japan that I will get -- but wondered about the advantage of heated mirrors....

1/ Titanium-type mirrors to prevent any water/moisture on mirrors when it rains.. Yen 8,900 = about US 75.00

2/ Same option with heater... Yen 12,900 = $ 109.00

Not much cost difference -- but just wondering --
