cut some slack, guys...
Yes.. this story is hilarious... and I was wiping tears from my eyes reading it... but think about it...
I have seen tons of posts here about people going completely ballistic over the same type of thing (s) .. dealers doing just what you specifically told them (and in some times in writing) NOT to do.
So -- hey.. he goes into dealer to get his new babe -- and sees her with pimples !! I think you guys would do the same thing if you hadn't known that the dimple-pimples were coming in on all cars.
my 2 yen...
...and 3 hours 40 minutes in Japan to go until the NEW year. My best wishes to you all for a great 2003 -- happy riding !

Damn that was funny. I laugh so hard I pissed my pants! I hope for your car's sake that their are other dealerships in your area, because your car will come out of the garage with more problems then it went in with! Even if you apologize don't take it back to the dealership for awhile.

By the way Turcoupe, the windows are supposed to drop down an inch or so when you open/shut the door. This is not a defect either.
In all sincerity, if you just admit that you feel like an "*** Clown" (that was a classic, SKiDaZZLe) you would probably be better off, IMHO.

I knew all I had to do was ask the 350z geek squad and they would know what was going on. I have been on this forum for a while and never saw anything related to dimples on the front of the Z. The only reason you guys know is because you have already received your cars. But, after all the flaming I am glad I asked because know I know that it is suppossed to be like that. For those of you that did not try to take a shot instantly (Zgirl, fairlady Z, ares, wxtornado, zcar70), thanks for the info. The whole idea that the dealer may have slapped up a template and by doing that make indentations didnt sound that ludicrous to me...

I definitely would not take my car back to that dealership for service. You will be remembered there for a while.
Are you going to apologize since you were actually in the wrong?
Just curious.

Yes Drake I already called them and apoligized to the sales manager. They called me this morning actually to ask me if I ever gave them the check for 20K that I was putting down. In the commotion of things, they forgot to ever take payment and just signed the contract saying that they recieved the check for 20K. I couldn't care less what the degenerate salespeople at the used car/Nissan dealership think of me. As far as taking my car to the service dept.....I am friends with the service mananger and have no fear of any stupid sales person influencing how my car will be treated.

Gosh, You should apologize!
Can't imagine how somebody can raise hell over this.
Apologize to the dealer, your girlfriend, her boss for being
such an unreasonable person. I'm sorry man, if you can cause
a scene on this something this simple, how much more can you
deal with the vagaries of life!!Take it easy, cool down, and
enjoy the car!

Boy, I never thought I'd feel sorry for a salesman or sales manager at a car dealership. Your life must be a thing of beauty if you can get so upset over two little dimples (like the ones on my car), especially in a post-911 world.
I will make it a point to ignore all your future posts. This board does not need hot heads like you. Sorry!

Ok, I understand that most of you think that I reacted hastily and immature over the dimples. But lets just out things into my perspective for a minute...
I have been in 2 different car clubs in which I had heavily modified cars like everyone else in the club. We paid attention to every little detail of our cars from modifications to detailing. I just can't understand why Nissan would make every Z's front bumper imperfect for the simple fact that some U.S. states require a front plate and it would make it a little easier for the idiots in the service dept to line up a bracket. What about the other 50% of Z owners that will not be putting on a front plate??? I would think that you California owners could appreciate this viewpoint. Can you honestly tell me that those dimples on the front of your cars do not bother you the least bit? Maybe it'e just me or maybe it;s because I am 23 yrs. old and 38,500 is a lot of money to me. All I wanted was an exterior that hasn't been made imperfect.
