Default My Window is F*cked! and some lady hit my car

After months of "manipulating" my drivers side window to close (aka banging inner panel while clicking window swtitch) my window has now decided to stay down all together.

The worst part is that earlier today a lady "grazed" me at 30 mph just eased her way into my lane bumped me and eased back. We looked at each others cars and there was no reason to call insurance. She was a short asian lady who spoke little English and kept thanking God for some reason......

Anyway what do I do about the window!? Do you guys think Nissan will have motors in stock? Is this a recall part I know alot of people have the issue? Someone please advise!

Ever since I sued Nissan my warranty has been WAY up. $400-500 **** is that WITH labor?
Is there any alternative....another place that has a similar motor?

Even if some lady just "grazes" your car, doesn't that do significant enough damage to get it fixed? How minimal was the damage then?

I had the same issue.... the dealer fixed the motor and replaced regulator.
I think the problem is with the regulator. My body shop was going to purchase it for $125, they said the motor is fine, the regulator is out of tune or something and the only way to fix it is to replace it.

When I went to the dealer, the tech said that he fixed the motor and everything was fine. The service rep said they'll also replace the regulator since it makes a clicking sound when the window closes all the way up.

I'm not sure who's right and who's wrong but atleast you might be able to fix your motor without buying a new one.

So I should go to the dealer and see if its just the regulator?

I replaced my motor myself, it was was not too difficult but I could see some people having problems doing it. Just remember to grease the parts that need it when you are done. Mine was the motor and not the regulator. I got mine off a wrecked car. Good luck!

My passenger side window has stopped several times but it always goes back up. I want to take it to the dealer before I'm out of warranty but I'm afraid it will work and they won't be able to replicate it!! Can I take it in and tell them that both of them have been doing it and get them replaced you think or will they have to be able to replicate it? I hate these window motors! If only the window didn't have to roll down everytime I'd just leave them broken but up.
