Default Bra for 2006 Z

I just bought an 06 Z (picking it up tomorrow), and need to order a bra. I've been happy with Colgan bras in the past, but I need to make sure that I'm getting one that will fit the 06 Z, with its slightly modified front fascia. I was looking at this source:

http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merch...t_Code=50-1039

Does anyone know if the above product will fit the 06 model, and if not who makes one that will?

Congrats man... your gonna love it. Welcome

Go for the 3M clear bra. If installed corectly it's an awsome product. A little expensive but worth it. Looks so much beter than the old vinyl ones. Make sure the dealer is am XPEL.com certified installer. These are custom cut at the installer and not kits.

Looks better and no install/removal issues.

Default Actually looking for vinyl

I'm sure the 3M product is great, but I prefer a vinyl bra. I live hundreds of miles from a location that could install the 3M film.

Does anyone have the "carbon fiber" finish Colgan bra? I (think I) like the look, but if it holds bug guts and is harder to clean, I'll get the "classic" finish.

Default I have the Colgan bra >>>>

I bought my Colgan bra from the same place, Motorsports Auto, and have been very pleased with it. The first time you put in on it takes a lot of pulling and stretching. I clean mine with Spot Shot MultiPurpose Carpet/Fabric/Vinyl and it looks nice. Occasionally I'll spray with Armour All.
Be sure you get the bras for the mirrors also. The mirrors can really get clobbered.
Good Luck.

Me too....Either throw it in the dryer for a few seconds to heat it up or wait till it is sunny out to put it on.

I have the Carbon fiber weve version.

question about the clear bra. Have you ever run your car through the car wash, how about waxing the car will the buffer pull the cover off if hit? I like the idea but am not sure about its durability.

I have the Colgan bra. I love it. I can't see buying a $600 installed clear bra myself. That would get you 7 Colgan bras or paint the bumper 3 times.
I had a friend that had to take it off and have his front bumper and hood repainted because it yellowed on his white car. I also have a friend that has it on his yellow car and it is really nice.

I only use my Colgan bra when I am going on a long high speed freeway run for rock protection. That is only about 20% of the time. My car is not vain so it doesn't mind. I do not get any rock chips around town so most of the time the bra isn't on the car anyways. I always give extra space between my car and the one in front so that I do not get a rock thrown on the windshield anyways. I have had too many of those on the freeway.

My wife actually likes the car better with the Colgan bra on the car. I still like it without most of the time.

I have had mine for two years now. It looks brand new and hasn't scratch the paint at all using it or putting it on or off.

Since you are in Taxas give XPEL a call for more info they are located in San Antonio. The clear bra has far better coverage than the vinyl bra. The clear bra for the Z goes up just past the headlights and also covers the fender area where the vinyl bra does not. Plus it also covers the side view mirrors.
