Some questions about 350Z
Hi guys!
I'm new here, typing from Sweden.
I'm currently thinking about abandoning volvo and buying a 350Z (followed one on the highway and fell for it), but first I have some basic questions that I hope you can answer:
1. What's behind the GPS hatch if the car doesn't have a GPS-screen? I noticed that all cars have this hatchy thing just above the car stereo, but it was closed on all pics I've seen.
2. The bow in the trunk, what's its function? And how difficult is it to throw in a couple of bags with that thing in the way?!
3. Which color is the most appreciated among the 350z owners? I like the red and the blue ones. Silver/gun are too common over here.
Well, it's sunday tomorrow, but on monday I'm probably gonna go to a dealship for a testride.
Thanks in advance!

1. there is a little space for you to put your cell phone or something.
2. Its a cover over the strut bar in the back, and you can put 2 golf bags in there... it shows you how!
3. Color depends on what you like. we love all colors!

Welcome and good luck with your choice. All the Z's and colors are appreciated here. My personal choice was redline and I love it.
BTW, if you want a real thrill try the roadster!

Thanks for all the answers!
I've seen the roadster as well, it's really hot, but our summers are 3 months long and the winters are like canadian ones, making the soft top not an attractive alternative.
When it comes to color, the white is kind of a "low standard" trademark in Europe, probably due to all taxis being white in Germany (sorry guys), but still, the red one is a killer.

Everyone likes their personal choice of color best, but every color is appreciated, go with what you like most.
When you say it is winter most of the year you dont mean it snows alot, right? I have never driven my Z in snow, but have heard is kind of a tricky in snow

To answer #2 of your questions.
The strut in the back makes the car stiff, giving it more structural rigidity.

I still kinda wish I could have gotten a Super Black, but the Silverstone is nice too. I haven't seen another Silverstone here yet, but I've seen just about every other color except Brickyard/Interlagos Fire.
99.9% of the 350Zs I see on the street and at the dealer's lot are PPW or one of the light silver colors. I just don't see the reason for the infatuation with PPW. White isn't even a "color" to me... it's "colorless". It's a blank canvas. It's bland. It makes me think of the fleets of Chevrolet Malibu rental cars with the green Enterprise "e" on the trunk. It certainly doesn't seem appropriate for a sportscar which is a "HEY! LOOK AT ME!" vehicle. Why get an attention getting vehicle and paint it with the most bland and boring of non-colors? At least it's a pearl coat white I suppose.
Although I suppose most PPW owners would say the opposite, that colors like Redline, Daytona Blue, and especially Ultra Yellow and Lemans Sunset are too outrageous. The local dealership told me that people love to stare in awe and drool over the more exotically colored 350Zs but they have lots of problems finding people willing to buy them. It seems people love the way the look but can't see themselves in one because it attracts too much attention. As a result, they sell tons of white, black, and light silver Zs and use the other colors to attract people into the showrooms. Personally, I like the fact that it provokes reactions and comments from people, both positive and negative... they just can't help but notice it. To each his own I guess.
