Question A dynamometer does not measure horsepower?

A dynamometer does not measure horsepower: it measures torque. The horsepower line is a mathematical computation of the changes in torque. Is this correct?

Correct- horsepower is a calculation based on torque and RPM.

Thanks for the response. Interesting that an important automotive concept such as this with get a couple of responses, but “What is you favorite color?” will get five hundred replies. Go figure.

Just remember torque ALWAYS equals HP at 5252 RPM. If your dyno graph doesn't cross there, SOMETHING is suspect......

BTW....my favorite color is WV2!
